THE STORY

Why CareReady exists

The idea for CareReady developed through her experience working within the homecare sector, alongside the MSc in Healthcare Management she is currently completing at RCSI.
Working directly within homecare highlighted the increasing level of responsibility being placed on providers and managers to demonstrate strong governance, appropriately trained and competent staff, robust documentation and consistently safe, person-centred care.
With Ireland moving towards statutory regulation of home support services, Sarah recognised a need for practical, sector-specific support to help providers understand these expectations and prepare their organisations for the transition.
CareReady was developed to bridge the gap between regulatory requirements and everyday practice, helping providers turn standards, policies and requirements into systems that work in real homecare environments.
WHAT CAREREADY STANDS FOR

The aim, and the longer view.

THE AIM

What CareReady sets out to do

To support Irish homecare providers to deliver safe, high-quality and compliant care through practical workforce training, competency development and accessible compliance support.
THE VISION

The sector we are working toward

An Irish homecare sector where providers are confident and prepared for regulation, managers are supported to lead high-quality services, staff are competent and confident in their roles, and continuous quality improvement becomes part of everyday practice rather than something addressed only when an inspection is approaching.
